Requested Enhancements

The following are requested enhancements from Client Tool users. This list will be updated quarterly. Additional enhancement requests may be submitted to ecmps-support@camdsupport.com.

Area Request Status Information Last Updated
Emails Add error level to feedback email subject line. Planned for a future release. 12/16/2009
Do not send Feedback Report as an email attachment. EPA requires that the feedback report be sent as an attachment in order to insure that responsible parties are informed of data submissions related to regulatory requirements. Users should work with their IT departments to configure email settings properly. 12/16/2009
Emissions Data Change LME Group ID naming convention. Under review. 9/16/2009
Prevent filter screens from opening automatically. Made available in the 2009 Q2 release. 6/17/2009
When importing LME .CSV files, if both the operating time and load are '0', the Client Tool should generate 'null' in the load field of the emissions file. Made available in the 2009 Q2 release. 6/17/2009
Provide more descriptive column names on the Heat Input tab. Made available in the 2009 Q2 release. 6/17/2009
Allow Emissions Comments for a quarter to remain permanently in the database, even if a new emissions file is imported into the Client Tool with different comments. The process for storing emissions comments will not be changed to avoid confusion. 9/16/2009
Only display the yearly cumulative total when multiple quarters are selected on the View Emissions screen. The emissions totals represent the data that you selected to view on the View Emissions screen. For example, if you selected to view emissions data from Quarters 2 and 3, then the emissions totals are calculated using data from two quarters only. In that case, the cumulative total is not the year-to-date total. To view year-to-date values, use the Emissions Summary Report. 3/9/2010
Provide export for all emissions data by hour. Under review. 6/9/2010
EPA Host Login Require logging in less frequently. To require logging in less frequently, check the "Don't Show This Automatically" check box on the login screen. 9/16/2009
Evaluate Enhance daily calibration checks. Planned for a future release. 9/16/2009
Enhance maximum potential data substitution checks. Changes to these checks are not planned at this time. 12/16/2009
If a critical error is received in an evaluation, do not continue to evaluate dependent files in the evaluation queue. Made available in the 2009 Q3 release. 9/16/2009
Do not default to the current quarter on the data selection screen. The Client Tool defaults to the latest quarter of data imported. 9/16/2009
Require monitoring plan data to be evaluated before QA and emissions data. The evaluation process will not be changed to avoid confusion. 9/16/2009
Export evaluation results to Microsoft Excel. Made available in the 2009 Q4 release. 12/16/2009
File Export Export facility/unit information. EPA does not consider this to be necessary functionality for the Client Tool to support. 3/9/2010
File Import Replace data instead of merging data during the import process. This change is technically unfeasible at this time. Click here to view the information in the Client Tool Help File related to merging data during import. 6/17/2009
Provide way to prevent data from being imported for a specified unit. Under review. 9/16/2009
Create a file import log. Available in Client Tool. Click here to view the information in the Client Tool Help File related to the File Import Validation Report. 9/16/2009
Create a file import queue. Under review. 12/16/2009
During import, check QA Certification data to ensure that they reference an active monitoring plan component. Import checks will not be changed at this time. The import checks are designed to ensure that data imported into the Client Tool database do not cause referential integrity errors. The evaluation checks determine whether the data are appropriate based on the evaluation check specifications for data reporting. If the import checks were more restrictive, legitimate data might be prevented from being imported. 12/16/2009
Help Add acronyms used in evaluation reports to Help glossary. Made available in 2009 Q3 release. 9/16/2009
Interface Allow multiple Client Tool modules to be opened simultaneously in separate screens so that they could be viewed on two monitors. Under review. 3/9/2010
Monitoring Plan Data Remove calendars from date fields. The use of calendars for date fields is a standard Windows feature. To enter a date directly into a field, click the month, day, or year and begin typing. 9/16/2009
Allow monitoring plans to be entered for locations that are not going to be operational for more than a year into the future. Made available in the 2009 Q4 release. 12/16/2009
Add the serial number as a column to the upper data grid on the Components tab. Made available in the 2009 Q4 release. 12/16/2009
Add pop-ups or tooltips explaining the codes in the following columns: MODC, SODC, and Sampling Type. All codes are defined in the ECMPS Reporting Instructions. 3/9/2010
Add a data check result message that informs users not to add fuel systems for ignition fuels. Under review. 6/9/2010
QA and Certification Data Maintain sort order for rows after deletion or update of data. Made available in the 2009 Q3 release. 9/16/2009
Provide date range filter for QA tests. The Client Tool allows filtering of QA Tests by date range. This functionality may be modified in the future. Click here to view the information in the Client Tool Help File related to filtering QA tests. 9/16/2009
Refine certification events for probes and monitors. The Client Tool handles probe certification events properly. Click here to read an FAQ on probe events. 9/16/2009
Add comment fields for QA Certification Events. Planned for a future release. For now, sources who wish to comment on a QA Certification Event should use the comment fields for the tests conducted to recertify the system. 12/16/2009
Reports Create "Select All" option for printing reports. Under review. 9/16/2009
Create "Back" button on the Test History Report dialog box. Under review. 9/16/2009
Create a monthly emission/operating parameter report. Made available in the 2009 Q3 release. 9/16/2009
Create an Emissions Summary Report that displays monthly totals. Under review. 3/9/2010

Add the option to view only the active data in the Monitoring Plan Printout Report. Available in the current Client Tool. Click here to view the information in the Client Tool Help File related to the View Active Data Only option. 6/17/2009
Retain selection on report selection criteria screens. Under review. 9/16/2009
Create a report of data that are synchronized with the EPA Host System and if they resulted in changes to the monitoring plan. Under review. 9/16/2009
Indicate all unsubmitted data for a facility on evaluation reports. This change is technically unfeasible at this time. 3/9/2010

Release Client Tool updates more than a month before emissions are due. The current update schedule, which includes software updates approximately six weeks prior to quarterly reporting deadlines, will not be changed at this time. 12/16/2009
